WHEN I GROW UP

I have never liked this question from the start. I'm sure am not the only kid who grew around this unfair question that demands you to take an imaginative trip to your future little after you learn how to talk and walk.but all in all,if you didn't make it to what you said, you can fake it and make it (of-course not the certificates of doom way)

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"

At 5 yrs, I said i wanted to be my Dad.you can guess why.Dad seemed to have all powers, making everything look simple and possible. He could avail all that i needed even before I mentioned it.

He allowed me to lick sugar dish something my mum was against and always guarding it with a blue slippers.Dad was awesome, playing me guitar and piano every evening,he trained me(using sufurias and basins) on how to play drums...why would i not want to be this father?

When we are young, the world is wide and all gates seems open. All dreams are achievable and our parent want us to name the big and best post in the World.Name them President,Attorney,Professor,Surgeon,Architect or any other top job you can imagine.

But i never saw my self in any of those line, not that i was pessimist my heart was elsewhere.

But I had to prove to mum and Dad that I too have a 'big' career vision,i had to show them hope and make them feel proud of their son.and that's how i came up with my three (I wanna be)

1. Lawyer
2. Pro-Footballer
3. Editor

I'm a 'Lawyer'
My high school grade couldn't allow me to apply for any law school, So any wish of being court clerk leave alone a lawyer was crashed then. But I never regret and I'm always happy it happened

There is an old adage that says the first year in a law school they scare you to death, the second year they work you to death, and the third year they bore you to death, And thats a process I never want to go through

But dreams are alway valid if i have to refer to this cliché. Joining a Journalism college and attending a "Media law" class was sensational. And for your information, I hardly loose an argument however complicated the opponent try to be, Thus I feel am almost a lawyer.

I'm a 'Pro-Footballer'
A professional football player isn't all about being very good at playing football, but most to think strategically and make the best use of your talent. I won't explain more on this but believe I'm doing good in the football world.(Maybe i should mention my Sportpesa experience)

I'm an Editor

One thing i enjoyed most in my high school free time is writing to the newspaper editors.Though none of my articles was published,I always felt hopeful that one day i will be that editor and people we write to me.

Little did I know that i will end up in the film making field, And here I'm enjoying video editing more than the editorial bench I used to admire.

I end this by saying lets be what we need to be. If there are no signs of you becoming what you dreamt to be, don't shy off living because life is full of twist and surprises. If life gives you lemons, find Vodka and throw a party.LIVE HAPPILY, LIVE LONG

I would like to here what your Wanna be's.Its free to share
