Facebook 'Memoirs' 6/7/2016

Today I received some guest, they were out for bench marking and to learn matters audio visual. If you didn't know, that's my field and I am among those who are being affected by Ezekiel Mutua's (Nonsense).
'Meet Kelvin' Said the secretary (not my secretary though) and with respect and a formal smile, I received my visitors and directed them to Jumuia coffee shop (for shade)

But the waitress was quick to notice us and she came running with 5 booklets (Menu) which i didn't bother to check, Why because the last time i deed, i couldn't relate to any meal there.
But the old man who seemed to be the group leader insisted that we take something.I ordered cocktail juice, she went to next and to next and to my surprise, they all ordered heavy meals..and the meeting started as the waitress left to serve us.

Nairobi has taught me that any time you aren't sure who is paying the bill, your order should be slightly below what you have in your pocket, unlike Murang'a where its "Kuria Ni Kuniina' literally explained as " Eating is finishing''. I knew i had ksh 200 note in my pocket, what i didn't know is that this is upper Nairobi and the price is >Upper<

And after some exchange, our orders were ready...I started on my juice as fast as it was on the table, after 3 to 4 sips, the old man advised 'Lets pray for the food though some has already started,' i received this as a mock and embarrassment statement and i heard to hit back " I am kelvin, not Sam". they all laughed it out as the only lady in our meeting started praying which went well until she mentioned "Those who don't have something to eat....." and Satan convinced me that the team was here to frustrate me, He whispered that more is to come and i had to do something before i hate myself, and that how i opened my eyes and from far, I saw Kevoh Founder beckoned him to come and by the time we were saying Amen, i ensured we have a new member for the meeting to cover my embarrassment..i introduced him as my senior and they received him with joy. pleasure was mine .who paid the bill? is a story for another day
