left back tears. Kim

I will start by giving credit to Cristiano Ronaldo (dos Santos Aveiro GOIH) though sometimes we disagree on matters Messi, but for this quote "playing with your feet is one thing, playing with your with your heart is another.'' he was very right.I am referring to a football tournament that happened last weekend at Starehe Boys Centre, Nairobi.

The tournament was organised by Chalice Canada, an NGO operating in different part of the world. The organization strongly believes in youth and community empowerment and as a result, they organized this one day soccer tournament dubbed, "Integration of the youth for talent nurturing."

Zimmerman Fc Celebrates after scoring

I don't want to dwell much on the details of the day but the highlight panned to one of Zimmerman Fc player who broke in to tears after losing their chance to join the other semi finalists.

It was a evident that football is not just a game, its associated with passion, emotion excitement and dedication no matter the level you  are playing.

Kim, a talented left back who is working hard to take his talent to the next level. was disturbed by the fact that he didn't help his team  grab the Chalice trophy and other top prizes. Not even his manager's attempts to console him helped as he laid back on the pitch with his head in his hands.
Coach Ochieng talking to his player

Our media made efforts to interview Kim but he couldn't face our cameras saying "Not after a such painful defeat" We wish Kim and his team all the best in their next games. We understand that Zimmerman Fc will be playing Kiambu sub county tournament and clearly they are up for the challenge . Cheers

Facebook 'Memoirs' 6/7/2016

Today I received some guest, they were out for bench marking and to learn matters audio visual. If you didn't know, that's my field and I am among those who are being affected by Ezekiel Mutua's (Nonsense).
'Meet Kelvin' Said the secretary (not my secretary though) and with respect and a formal smile, I received my visitors and directed them to Jumuia coffee shop (for shade)

But the waitress was quick to notice us and she came running with 5 booklets (Menu) which i didn't bother to check, Why because the last time i deed, i couldn't relate to any meal there.
But the old man who seemed to be the group leader insisted that we take something.I ordered cocktail juice, she went to next and to next and to my surprise, they all ordered heavy meals..and the meeting started as the waitress left to serve us.

Nairobi has taught me that any time you aren't sure who is paying the bill, your order should be slightly below what you have in your pocket, unlike Murang'a where its "Kuria Ni Kuniina' literally explained as " Eating is finishing''. I knew i had ksh 200 note in my pocket, what i didn't know is that this is upper Nairobi and the price is >Upper<

And after some exchange, our orders were ready...I started on my juice as fast as it was on the table, after 3 to 4 sips, the old man advised 'Lets pray for the food though some has already started,' i received this as a mock and embarrassment statement and i heard to hit back " I am kelvin, not Sam". they all laughed it out as the only lady in our meeting started praying which went well until she mentioned "Those who don't have something to eat....." and Satan convinced me that the team was here to frustrate me, He whispered that more is to come and i had to do something before i hate myself, and that how i opened my eyes and from far, I saw Kevoh Founder beckoned him to come and by the time we were saying Amen, i ensured we have a new member for the meeting to cover my embarrassment..i introduced him as my senior and they received him with joy. pleasure was mine .who paid the bill? is a story for another day

Nowadays we are having many graduations in our estate, or I should just say "ploti" juu ni zimmer na hii matope haikubali jina estate
So a few minutes as I was coming from my routine training, I met "the daughter next door on her best mood.
" uncle kujia keki" she invited running back to the house
"Asante" I responded as I approached their door recalling my community advise that "never disappoint a kid".
On the door I met the mother and the small girl whose graduation we are celebrating.." ni bash ya nini na sijaambiwa" I questioned
"wewe Kula keki usijali" she quickly responded...I picked my piece, thanked the family and left to my karoom so sure that I won't sleep before I know what we are celebrating.
After shower I realised my source of information is becoming scarce as the clock hand rotates..my good daughter next door will sleep before feeding my "wanna know"
Information is expensive, I pick a 200 note, move to the door step and call the daughter.. "shika ubuyie baby chocolate" and she run to my trap and there I pose my question before giving out my money...
"Amejua kuitumia Potty bila kusaidiwa" she excitedly reports as I I share my 200.
And there you go..Congratulations.

The Mad Woman Inspiration

How many of us know exactly what we want, and how many of us know precisely how to get it?
A mad woman managed to sneak into a Restaurant last night, went on and grabbed some food. The waitress shouted " mwizi, Mwizi"   before the 'soldiers' went for his 'Rungu', She was on her way out.

They had to run after her of course. The mad woman ran toward one of the busiest  streets in town. People watched from far, (You know how kenyans want to be witnessers) We all expected her to be hit by the speeding cars,or to be squeezed in  between them, it was a "oh no" and " oh my God' moment.
But before  those who closed their eyes (not to see her die ) could open (Kufumba na kufumbua), the mad woman had already disappeared,The chasers looked stranded and idealess, "how could they fail to catch a mad woman? they will explain to their manager" and we all clapped..( For a 'thief' reaching home safely?)

Yea..It made perfect sense. The madwoman was hungry, She needed some food and so she went for it. she wanted it, so she grabbed it..simple and flawless logic. And we all know if she went and borrowed some food at the restaurant, she wouldn't make to the entrance, the "soldier" will send her away before she even make her request.

And so it is in our lives, we are the sane ones, We are bulged crazy happenings and frustrating obstructions which distract us from our wants and needs

We stuff our personal environments with superfluous conveniences and costly clutter; we waste years wandering down blind alleys; we strive for the impossible and often succeed in making ourselves miserable.
If only we can make our needs so simple as those of the madwoman
If only we could identify what we need and strive to get it
We are hungry, and we get ourselves some food (I ain't saying we grab) We lust, And we find the ideal mate, Our Leaders are corrupt, and we use our votes to replace them with the right one, We are sinners, and we repent and ask God to lead us to His way guiding us with truth, We are broke, and we seek the right measures to earn some income and create some cashflow, and so on...

Or must we be crazy to be that sane?

How You Can Win Ksh8Million Sportpesa Jackpot Using Foolproof Analysis and Straightforward Facts

I did a google search on how I can make my first million in 3day and its like i need a miraclea.Kwaruza ushinde, Bonyeza ushinde,Tetemesha and other lotteries have never worked for me. And the Sportpesa Jackpot came to my mind...Ksh 8, 519,909 can be mine by Monday?

The following article is a total work of my 'thinking'. Games and team hints are products of my Predicton or guess work. Please note that my Sportpesa jackpot hints and tips based on statistics and probabilities and they are only suggestions for your own betting and give statiscal and strategical help. Please use all the soccer forum to compare opinions and information for this week's Sportpesa jackport.

PRESTON  vs CARDIFF
I will back Cardiff city to pick up a win in this. The Welsh side have registered a mixed run of form from their last five league outings picking two wins, two defeats and a draw.Preston are placed position 23rd in the league.‘Life’ has been tough for them this season.last time  they lost 3-1 to Sheffield Wednesday. They are short on quality, form and confidence.Unless they pull a surprise today, I expect likes of Kenwyne Jones (Cardiff Attacker who has scored five from his ten games) and Joe Mason to win it for me.

MK DONS vs BLACKBURN

Blackburn are a away from home to visit Mk Dons. All my hope are on Jordan Rhodes (The main man for blackburn who has scored 7 goals in 6matches) I see him maintaining this stunning form  to help his side take the day over Mk Dons who have attained 1 win and 4 loss at home since the start of the season.I am Backing Blackburn to win here given how unconvincing the hosts have been in front of goal of late.

ODENSE vs sonderjyske
I hardly follow superligaen but i am told its renowned as a competitive league and the matches between sonderjyskE and OB Odense are part of the reason why. With no much facts, I will pick the home side.

EINTRACHT FRANKF vs B MONCHENGLADBACH
The host have fallen into a very bad form lately has playing four games without a win.Again, Most of their players are doubtful for the meeting.Haris Seferovic (Hamstring / Strain), Alexander Ignjovski (Tooth injury), David Abraham (muscle injury), Constant Djakpa (Overload), Stefan Reinartz (Calf Injury) and Carlos Zambrano (Rib injury). On the other hand, they can not count on Sonny Kittel (cruciate ligament injury) and Emil Balayev (Tooth injury). In any case, their coach Armin Veh can count on Castaignos (4 goals), Meier (4 goals) and defender Russ (1 goal).
on the other side , Vfl Borrusia are after a desperate start this season, they are currently on 13th place.they have 1win and 3 losses and this mean a great test for both teams. Here I choose my first Draw

GUINGAMP vs LILLE
There’s little to choose here, both teams are doing well with a goal difference being the only difference separating them clubs. If i am to be involved , A DRAW make a lot of appeal here.

BOLOGNA vs PALERMO
Both team coaches are at risk of being sacked after the match in case of bad result.I expect Palermo to bounce back from their terrible streak.I believe Bologne are struggling and in a worse condition than Palermo. And there I am giving my bet to the visitors.

THUN vs Fc Zurich
I will depend on Head to Head statistics here. Both team has met 37 times, Fc Zurich winning 22 Fc Thun winning 6 and 9 draws. This give no hint of who will take the day my bet highly weigh on Fc Zurich side. Maybe because of Zuri Sacco.

KRYLIYA SOVETOV vs TEREK GROZNY
Head to head analysis again, in 16 meetings Terek Grozny has won 7 and ‘drawn’ 4. The last meeting produced a 1-1 draw where KRYLYA was the host, My mind hint that this is another Draw.

VERIA vs ATROMITOS ATHENS
The table never lies and again consitency is the key.My Bet here goes to the visitors,

NEWCASTLE vs NORWICH CITY
This is a hard one, Backing newcastle united to win any match this season has not been a good idea. But we can not wipe them out, they still have a good team to make a ‘point’, keeping in mind the good form of Nathan Redmond and Wes Hoolahan of Norwich, I reckon this will produce a draw.

KORTRIJK vs CHARLEROI
Here again my help is 'Low" i don't even know them so I the power of the unknown and hinting my bet on the home side to win.

DEPORTIVO LC vs ATHLETIC BILBAO
Again here I go with my guide quote "Tables don't lie" Deportivo are placed 6th on the table while Athletic Bilbao are 13. And with no other search I hint on the home side (Deportivo) to take the day

INTER MILAN vs JUVENTUS
In spite of some very good results, Inter milan have failed to impress with theri perfomances on the pitch and that is cause for concern ahead of the clash with revived Juventus. The Bianconeri appear to be slowly returning to their best and I am backing them to win Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

I am not % sure for my tips and this is only a recommendation.  If you have found better source of tips than mine or if you have some doubts on given predictions, then please do not bet as predicted above, but search for other alternatives. All the best

Some Poems don't rhyme

Now some Manchester united Fans have learnt, Not all poems do rhyme
Wayne Rooney not Impressed (Image Via Reuters )

Thank God my blog has not yet taken shape of what I should write about.Though for a while, I'm enjoying the luxury of "All trade".This may sound like a football or Arsenal Vs Manchester united, Its more than that.

Three days earlier, I shared a story of “The goat and the chicken” with some manchester united fans. They had joined together to remind me how good is 'their' team and how hard they will hit us (Arsenal) on Sunday dated 4th october

For sure, Any arsenal or manchester fan can’t easily forget what came to happen, arsenal starting with great power and making things bad for their ‘rivals’ within the first 20minutes of the game. It was a great way to start the month of  October.

A story is told of a man who invited some guests to his house the next day,and his servants prepared to kill the goat and make dinner for the guests.

When the chicken heard what was going on, it went to the goat and said, Goat, this is going to be your last night, Tomorrow you are going to be killed, cooked, and eaten” The chicken made a quite scene of it and then went to sleep with complete peace of mind, dreaming about goat being cooked. Meanwhile, the goat could not sleep all night and having nightmares of people killing him.

The next day, Most the guest excused themselves , and the man had no reason to kill the goat.He said to the servants, “Go get the chicken, and we’ll make a good curry.” When the goat heard this, it smiled at the chicken in relief, while the chicken was terrified.

This 'harsh' tale was to teach them the great moral to never be 100 per cent sure of whats next- some old adage say never count your eggs before they are hatch. Not every thing in life will turn the way you want or expect.

For sure, Any arsenal or manchester fan can’t easily forget what came to happen, arsenal starting with great power and making things bad for their ‘rivals’ within the first 20minutes of the game. With a scoreline of 3-0 in favor of the home team, I am the last person manchester fans want to meet this week mostly after my story. But let our team remember, that win doesn't mean everything, if they don't keep working hard and producing good results. We have long and tough times ahead bearing in mind our last two performance (Uefa championship) group match

Mesut Ozil scoring the second (Image by Michael Reagan)
For me it was double win, Making a debut for a 'strange' team and  scoring a brace to help them win 6-0 was fantastic.I went home feeling a "Aguero"

As I pen down, I don’t want to forget that Brendan Rodgers is no longer the manager for liverpool. Unfortunately in the world of football, We punish the ‘Teacher for student’s mistakes.’ I wish him the best of luck in the future.

Hope you are enjoying the week so far and thanks for learning with me.

Good luck in everything.

The Power of Willing Hearts And The Spirit of Harambee

We all recall, the big legendary names; of people who chose to pay the demanding price, not from their own demands but for the deficient and feeble ones. From resources to self-sacrifice; all in the name of salvaging the needy and laying platforms to a better nation or world as every soul would wish for. What defines a legend??? It may be a question with many pronunciations...to some people who hailed special and extra-ordinal hearts....perhaps little good gods.

Have you read about these great men and women...?? or else have you heard of them and their extreme passion for what they believed in?? If not, take some time online or other archives. The likes of Professor Wangari Maathai who believed in environmental conservation, Nelson Mandela who fought through resilience...fighting for the rights of poor through unity and love for all, the Henry Jean Dunant; founder of the world's largest humanitarian organization...Red Cross aiming to alleviate suffering of the underprivileged, Bloomberg; former New York Mayor currently supporting the fight against Road Crash Deaths in LMICs through funding, Dr.  Griffins the father of Starehe Boys Centre among other dignified people whose lives left marks behind. It takes heart, it takes great devotion ...it takes self sacrifice for the sake of others. Starting with an icon of hope...and slowly beckoning great shift of aspects through positive initiatives they tired not pushing and pushing, until their desired change is realized. Of course not after a day but a good time worth reward...even Rome was not built in a day. This could the difference between what pushed them and our lazy souls, spirits and bodies. For many sing change...preach change, but the irony of it all that they are never part of change, neither do they participate in cultivating change. These are the most dangerous kind of people any particular country would wish to have...had it been optional.

The great former Kenyan president; Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi sang the song of "ukikata mmoja panda miwili" a slogan that had fought quench for good climate and environment by planting two trees whenever one cut a single trees. It was a voluntary call and could we have heeded. Many Salutes to the few that took up the initiative of tree planting that Prof. Wangari Maathai campaigned and fought for for many years. It was a worthy sacrifice as denoted by the Nobel Peace Prize presenters. Hardly did she know that her efforts would roar the whole world for decades. Going green through the green belt movement and other environmental friendly practices had always been the tone of her tongue, heart and hands. May Lord salvage her heroic soul to eternity. Long live the green nature ideologies; for the world and country owes her a lot. A long-time due though her soul lied cold on her eternal bed.

You sing of that neighbour who paid school fees for your child. That philanthropist who funded a health facility to your ailing community...the young man who led others in clearing heaps of garbage at your estate???? But where do you put your defination..???  It’s not superstitious, it not supernatural...it takes a positive willing heart. When this is found, change is never far. It is no longer impossible. Not to the few, but to anyone who believes in change.
